Gucci plans further expansion in India

Gucci is giving the Indian consumer more options to shop. It has identified to open two additional self-branded stores in the country, apart from its present two. The new venture is likely to be complete by end-2008, when there would be two Gucci outlets in Delhi, one in Mumbai and another in Bangalore.

The Gucci Indian outlets will deliver jewellery, handbags, accessories, watches, sunglasses and shoes. An expansion has been outlined, wherein eight outlets will be opened by 2010, taking the brand to Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad.
