India’s largest jewellery mall has been launched in Chennai, spanning 170,000 sq ft mall with 10 floors and 3 mezzanine levels. It is named as Prashanth Real Gold Tower. Recently the Tamil Nadu governor Surjit Singh Barnala inaugurated the mall’s operations. Both retail and wholesale trading would be conducted at the facility. The Joy Alukkas group inaugurated their 70,000 sq ft store at the mall, recently.

Other B2B activities of interest to the industry would include bullion trading desks, hallmarking and gemology facilities, trading lounges, exhibition halls. Automated teller machines (ATMs) and food courts have also been set up. The tower is presently occupied by Bank of India, G.S. laboratories, a diamond accreditation lab; and jewellery retailers and wholesalers such as White Fire Diamonds, Sanghi Jewelers and Royal India Gems & Jewels.
