diamond world news service

Sanghavi Exports, a sightholder of the Diamond Trading Company (DTC), recently acquired the Sangini jewellery brand from the DTC in London, on January 17, 2006.
DTCs move was in keeping with its marketing policy of progressively handing over its brands to its sightholders, after it had achieved its immediate objective.

Launched by the DTC in 2004, Sangini was run by a group of seven sightholders until 2005, when it was purchased by Spectrum Jewellery Pvt Ltd, a part of the Sanghavi Exports group. DTC has always looked towards developing the diamond jewellery market worldwide and has launched flagship brands in local markets, after intensive consumer research, said Cherie Tandon Saldanha, DTC Marketing Director, India.

Based on the findings of the research, brands are introduced, nurtured and then handed over to its sightholders to run, she added. The Sangini brand has our total commitment to technical expertise backed by excellent designing talent, the Sanghavi group remarked.
