GIA to actively participate in Tuscon trade shows

GIA celebrates 75th anniversary with a birthday-theme alumni dance party and auction

Among the numerous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) activities to be held during the Tucson trade shows, the GIA will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a birthday-theme alumni dance party and auction on February 3 at the Marriot University Park.

The festivities will include a dinner and silent auction, followed by a presentation of the alumni awards and announcement of the Richard T. Liddicoat Scholarship award winners. GIA representatives will be at the Gem & Jewelry Exchange (GJX) Show (Booth 218) and at Rio Grande�s Catalog in Motion (Tucson Hilton East) from February 3-6.

President of the GIA, William E. Boyajian, will make a keynote presentation during the Centurion town hall meeting at an invitation only jewelry show on February 1. At the same event, laboratory senior vice president, Tom Moses, will hold a seminar about the institute�s new cut grade.
