GJEPC institute to begin jewellery course

Will create a talent pool to meet demands of jewellery exports from India

The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has developed an educational institute in New Delhi named as Jewellery Product Development Centre (JPDC), which will conduct a specialised three-year diploma course in jewellery design and manufacturing technology.

The course will tutor on various subjects including manufacturing training on the latest technology, computer-aided design and much more. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has accorded its approvals. The institute intends to train students to be at par with international design and quality trends, in effect encouraging jewellery export from India.
