GIA expects 38 companies at its Jewelry Career Fair

Companies include De Beers, Tiffany and Co, Zale Corp, amongst others

Gemological Institute of America's (GIA) will host its annual Jewelry Career Fair on October 19 at its headquarters in Carlsbad. It expects 38 jewellery companies to participate in recruiting work force in the fields of management, design, accounting, marketing, sales and merchandising. The companies to attend include Ben Bridge Jeweler, De Beers, Leo Hamel Fine Jewelers, Tiffany and Co. and Zale Corp.

Panel discussions, career coaches, seminars, workshops and an open house that includes a tour of the campus and a variety of jewellery exhibits are planned for the fair. Jeweled brooches from the celebratory California based designer Ricardo Basta will be a highlight amongst the exhibits. Visitors can experience classroom demonstrations on the GIA's various programmes.
