Robbery at Arshit Gems in Panchratna

Rs.10 crore worth of diamonds were stolen

Mumbai’s Panchratna building at Opera House, which is the hub for diamond trade in the city, witnessed a major robbery on Monday 15th October. According to sources, 21,700 carats of diamonds worth Rs.10 crore ($2.53 million) were stolen from the company Arshit Gems, located at Panchratna. An FIR has been registered with the police, the following day on October 16. The theft is reported to have taken place at 7.30 pm.
