Hans Stern expires

A big loss to the international gem and jewellery industry

Former ICA member and noted personality in the jewellery industry, Hans Stern expired today in Rio de Janerio. Stern was 85 years old. He began his tryst with exporting Brazilian gemstones in 1945, and grew to become one of Latin America’s leading jewellery company. There are today, 160 H. Stern stores in Brazil and 170 overseas. Such an important figure will be missed by ICA members and the international gem and jewellery industry.
