Harry Winston expansion plans unveiled

Opens new stores in four states in the U.S

Luxury jeweler Harry Winston Inc. signed a decade-long lease for a Chicago storefront, which begins in 2007. Harry Winston opened a 1,000 square foot boutique in Bal Harbour recently in Florida, across the bay from North Miami. �The company would target new stores in London, China, and Russia next,� said James Seuss, president of Harry Winston. Harry Winston opened on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, at the Ala Moana Center.

After much expansion planning --but only a few feet across the street from its former location-- Harry Winston opened a 6,000 square foot storefront on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills on January 12. With similar style to its original flagship store on New Yorks Fifth Avenue, Harry Winston Rodeo Drive has three levels, a private viewing room, exhibition (and Red Carpet party) space, and a garden terrace.

Not counting its future Chicago location, Harry Winston has 10 stores worldwide including two stores in Japan, and one store each in Taiwan, Switzerland, and France. It also retails in other countries through tie-up with retailers.
