Swarovski, who has been associated with IIJS for the longest time, has decided to opt out of the show owing to technical reasons.

The company in a release stated that the collaboration with the Council and the IIJS, an event that Swarovski has contributed to since its inception, has brought with it invaluable opportunities. The presentation of Swarovski Genuine Gemstones and Zirconia has always added brilliance and glamour to the shows and fired the imagination of many jewellery designers. The brand has thanked the Council and the IIJS for the rewarding past relationship.

Talking about the brand’s exit, Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director, GJEPC said, "It’s very unfortunate that Swarovski will not be part of the upcoming IIJS due to technical issues. We have been associated with the brand since the beginning of IIJS but this time we could not allot the booth placement which the brand was keen on. And that’s why they have decided to opt out. We had our meetings with Swarovski but could not come to a satisfactory conclusion. We are trying to convince the brand to be part of the show.”

“Allotments have been done as per the industry category and we have tried our best to accommodate more and more brands. Floor plans are already frozen and even the Council would not be able to alter the floor plans. Having said that, we will continue to share healthy relationship with Swarovski,” added Sabyasachi Ray.

Swarovski will continue to promote its Ingredient Branding partners and wholesalers who exhibit at IIJS and the visitors will continue to see displays of finely crafted jewellery with Zirconia and gemstones from Swarovski and the loose stone assortment and innovations.
