The education wing of IGI, School of Gemology organized the 'Know Your Solitaire' seminar for the sales associates of Kalyan Jewellers, at Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh on December 12, 2017. The seminar focused on guiding the jewelry connoisseurs about the diamond grading and identification process.

Known for its all-pervasive approach, the seminar educates jewelry associates about the various dimensions of a diamond, its brilliance and the penultimate facet, the 4C's - carat weight, color, clarity and cut. It helps them understand the impact of the 4C's on the value of large diamonds. Apart from the quintessential 4C's, IGI also introduces the most important factor in diamonds - confidence, that an IGI certification instills in the proud owners of a certified diamond.

The session conducted at Kalyan Jewellers helped the participants learn the technique of reading aIGI certificate and communicate the same to the consumer. They were also given an insight into the efforts IGI makes to maintain its level of integrity and commitment with the help of an unparalleled research team. Large diamonds are rare and valuable. A deeper understanding of the jewel helps both the retailer and the consumer alike.

IGI School of Gemology provides customized training  programs to an increasing number of jewelry retailers and manufacturers across the country. As a part of their sustained efforts to educate the diamond zealots, IGI develops programs based on the individual and timely needs of each company.
