On the occasion of his Birthday, Hon. Prime Minster of India, Narendra Modi inaugurated “Hari Krishna Sarovar–હરિકૃષ્ણ સરોવર” through Video Conference from Amreli in Gujarat.

This newly constructed lake has been a brainchild of Savji Dholakia, reputed diamond merchant who hails from a small village called Dudhala from this region. He

This lake which has shaped up on the river named “Gagadia” covers 150 acres of land and was completed in record time of just 120 days. Savji Dholakia has used his own resources to construct this lake.

At the first heavy rainfall in this area, Hari Krishna Lake was full and is expected to benefit about 22 villages in the surrounding areas. Water level in this area is expected to improve which will in turn help irrigation throughout the year and yielding around Rs. 100 crores or more to farmers of the area.

On the auspicious occasion, lavish dinner was served to more than 45000 people.
