WFDB's 60th aniversary to kick start on June 24

Presidents of 26 bourses affiliated to WFDB to discuss imp. issues

The much awaited 60th anniversary of World Federation of Diamond Bourse WFDB is all set to start on June 24rth.

The three day event is planned to take place in Amsterdam under the title of “celebrating the WFDB’s diamond anniversary; building on a tradition”.

Presidents’ meetings are held in the intermittent years between congresses of the WFDB and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) that take place biennially.

According to reports, the event is being hosted by the Vereniging Beurs voorden Diamanthandel, the Amsterdam Diamond Exchange (ADM). A special diamond anniversary publication has been published to mark the occasion and will be distributed at the event.

During these two-day events, the presidents of the 26 diamond bourses affiliated to WFDB meet to discuss ongoing issues and to prepare the agenda for the congress in the year thereafter.

Speakers will include: Amsterdam mayor Job Cohen, ADM president Ed Blik, DTC managing director Varda Shine, WFDB president Ernest Blom, IDMA president Jeffrey Fischer.
