ALROSA appoints Sergey Barsukov as Vice President

ALROSA has appointed Sergey Barsukov as Vice President today. Mr. Barsukov will be in charge of liaison with public authorities, including in the scope of lawmaking, industry statutory regulation and licensing, and work with international and Russian industry professional and public organizations.

“Sergey Vladimirovich is familiar with the Company and its business. Since 2011, he has been a member of ALROSA’s Supervisory Board as a representative of the Ministry of Finance. He will be in charge of the important activity areas previously divided between two vice presidents. His wealth of experience and expertise in management positions in financial companies and government service, knowledge of the diamond mining industry will help us to build consistent work and ensure an effective dialogue between the Company and key stakeholder groups,” said ALROSA President Sergey Ivanov.

In 2010 – 2017, Sergey Barsukov was Director of Financial Policy Department, Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

Sergey Barsukov is a graduate of Mozhaisky Military Space Engineering Academy with a Diploma in Mathematical Support for Computer-Aided Data Collection and Processing Systems (1993), and Saint-Petersburg State University with a Diploma in Public and Regional Administration (2005).
