De Beers Group announced that Arthur Hewett, Executive Head of Human Resources, is to retire from the business at the end of September 2017.

Arthur started his career with De Beers Group at Kimberley Mines in 1991 and has since held a number of senior positions in the organisation. As a member of De Beers Group’s Executive Committee over the past four years, he has played an important role in helping to shape the business’s transformation agenda.

Bruce Cleaver, CEO, De Beers Group, said: “Arthur has always been passionate about helping people fulfil their potential throughout his 25 years of service to De Beers Group. He helped us deliver a strong team to Gaborone as we transferred our international sales function from London, and has long been a champion for building a more diverse and inclusive organisation. We thank him for helping to make De Beers Group a great place to work and wish him all the very best for the future”.
