SDE trade higher by 53.4%

Internal exchange soared up by 56.3% to $56.3 million.

The Shanghai Diamond Exchange has culminated very encouraging figures for 2007. According to a report by the Diamond Administration of China (DAC) the total volume of diamond imports and exports at SDE rose by 53.4% to value at $1 billion, compared to 2006. Imports were up by 109.6% to amount to $440 million as against last year. The import and export amounted to $909 million while within SDE the internal exchange soared up by 56.3% to $56.3 million.
