Lucapa clocks $6.9 million in its second diamond sale of 2017

Lucapa sold 1,552 carats of diamonds from its Lulo mine in its second sale of 2017, as per reports. The sale generated revenues worth $6.9 million. The parcel included 227-carat Type IIa D color stone. The average price per carat of the diamond sold amounted to $4,446.

The company is intending to offer diamonds of 62 carats, 65 carats and 25 carats in its next sale this year.

In 2017, the company has clocked revenues worth $10.7 million from Lulo diamonds. It recovered a 227 carat Type IIa D-colour gem and 62-carat diamond at the Lulo mine in February, as per reports.
