Gold Fields Q3 net profits drop 35% to $52 MN

Gold production down 3.3% to 989,000 oz

Reportedly, Gold Fields Ltd, SA gold producer's, net earnings fell by 35 per cent to $52 million for the third quarter of 2007 as compared to Q3 results for 2006.

Revenues increased by 15 per cent to $693 million on a year-on-year basis.

The company anticipates gold production at just over 1 million ounces for the June quarter.
