One of the key highlights underlining the 6th International Diamond Week in Israel will be an exhibit of the replica of the Great Imperial Crown of the Russian Empire, as per reports. The Crown is crafted with 11,352 polished diamonds, of 1,180 carats in total and all polished diamonds are made from Alrosa rough diamonds.

Russian diamond manufacturer Kristall-Smolensk created the replica in 2012, to mark its 250th anniversary. Alrosa is helping bring the replica to feature at IDWI. The value of the crown stands at around $20 million, reports say.

Alrosa will also be participating at the IDWI with a display of large and unusual polished and rough diamonds, and hold a diamond tender of rough and polished diamonds of between 10 and 199 carats. Alrosa President Andrey Zharkov will be a guest of honor of IDWI, and will open the new International Tender Center in the Israel Diamond Exchange.

The crown will be exhibited between February 13 – 14, 2017. The Crown exhibit has travelled across Russia, apart from an exhibition dedicated to Catherine the Great at the Hermitage Museum in Amsterdam, as per reports.
