As the Oscars approach, the events to which stars and celebs are invited are becoming increasingly lavish. In keeping with the sparkling atmosphere, De Beers' Diamond Information Center (DIC) will be hosting what it calls a week-long celebration.

The pre-Oscar event, which has been dubbed CELESTIAL, is from February 19-22. The DIC holds this event annually and attendance is by invitation only to a restricted list of Oscar nominees and presenters.

During the celebration, described as an ode to the origin of diamonds, the DIC is offering its guests an African-inspired diamond spa where the movers and shakers can "indulge in and embrace the blissful aura of diamonds."

During the festive week, renowned jeweler Fred Leighton, will showcase his breathtaking $50 million private diamond collection. Oscar-winning actress Mira Sorvino will serve as CELESTIAL's hostess.

All of the guests attending the festive event will receive a diamond medallion from Mia & Kompany. Proceeds from this gift will benefit Isbendi, a project that supports nearly two million children in South Africa who were left orphans due to the AIDS epidemic.
