Sarjan Group organises Diasqua Sarjan Hong Kong Premier League 2016

Sarjan, a dynamic, professionally managed, sports and social group from Hong Kong, recently organised 6th edition of it annual cricket premier league - Diasqua Sarjan Hong Kong Premier League (“DSHKPL”) with six teams being part of the tournament.

The DSHKPL was held at PKVR ground on 9th and 10th July 2016. The six team and their respective owners participating in DSHKPL in 2016 tournament were: 1) Diasqua Dragon owned by Diasqua Group; STP Warriors owned by Shail Shah, Tej Shah and Parin Shah; 3) Takat Gladiators owned by Takat Gems; Cosmos Avengers owned by Cosmos Group; 5) Hanu Hunters owned by Hanu International; and 6) Nigam Challengers owned by Oriental Gems. This year, the tournament was won by Cosmos Avengers.

The innovative format of “Dus Ka Dum” made the competition even more exciting for the players as well as for the audiences. This tournament is an opportunity for the gems and jewellery industry from Hong Kong to come together under one roof irrespective of the social and financial status.

To cheer up the participants, a cocktail dinner was arranged on 7th July at Tamarind Pan-Asian Restaurant & Bar at Sun Hung Kai Centre at Harbour Road in Wanchai. Team Members, Captains, Mentors, Team Owners, Sponsors, Tournament Organising Directors and well-wishers were part of the wonderful evening. Tabarak Dar and Ravi Nadgev as Tournament Directors outlined all on the rules and requested the participants to keep in mind the rules of the game and play with true spirit of the game. Rules of the game remained similar to 2014 rules. However, this year, in order to bring more balance to the participating teams, auction process was introduced for selection of new players.

Over the years, DSHKPL has garnered a lot of patronage from the gems and jewellery community in Hong Kong.
