The World Diamond Mark Foundation (WDM) has launched a virtual World Diamond Museum known as Facets of Mankind. The launch took place at the recent JCK show.

The concept of the initiative was announced during the 37th World Diamond Congress, reports say. As per the WDM, the foundations are in place for the virtual museum as a unique resource in the cloud.

The museum will be a platform to view unique collections of extraordinary diamonds and diamond jewellery.

The museum will also elucidate the connection between a diamond and mankind over decades and will bring to light the story of diamonds to the consumer, reports add. The jusuem will be almost a ‘living documentary of the journey of diamonds and its relationship with the human race’, as per WDM reports say. Further according to WDM, the narrative of the introductory movie states - 'in the diamond, we see ourselves, the best we can be,' which also was the inspiration for WDM and the team to create this museum, reports say.
