Van Ells appointed new Director of AGS

According to reports, The American Gem Society Laboratories (AGS) has appointed Joe Van Ells as the new director of gemological services.

Van Ells has vast experience in the field of diamond grading. He has served as jewelry manufacturer Stuller’s large diamond grading manager and gemology instructor since 2002 and previously was a gemstone buyer and quality assurance manager for QVC Shopping Network. He has also served as a gemological instructor for GIA.

Van Ells will be responsible for directing the team of diamond grading professionals.
