Online retailers expect to clock good sales on Akshaya Tritiya

Akshaya Tritiya, a Hindu festival considered to being in prosperity is being celebrated today and online jewellers are hopeful of clocking in good sales from both gold and diamond jewellery. E-commerce retailers like Amazon, CaratLane and BlueStone, are looking positively at the festival. Online retailers like BlueStone and Amazon are optimistic riding on the growth of consumer traffic and their offerings over the past year or so, to expect a growth of atleast 6 times on the festival as compared to last year, reports add.

Products expected to be bought include gold coins, diamond pendants, 22 carat jewellery, as per reports. Although gold is always bought as the metal that symbolises auspiciousness and prosperity, diamond jewellery too is witnessing a demand growth. Jewellers are also roping in the opportunity to build better consumer connections on this day, as BlueStone founder Gaurav Singh Kushwaha and other senior executives at the company would speak with customers in live phone chats to address their queries on purchases and other concerns, as per reports.
