Veteran Diamond Journalist M. D. Deewani leaves for heavenly abode

Veteran Diamond Journalist M. D. Deewani who served Diamond World for the last 40 years, left for his heavenly abode on Sunday May 1, 2016. He is deeply mourned by the family and the staff of Diamond World.

Even at the age of 95 years, he worked tirelessly. He was well acquainted with diamond trade. He was honoured from the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council for his services to the diamond trade. Born on 20th October 1921, Mr. Deewani was known for his in-depth analysis of market trends, acute observations about the diamond industry. In him, we have lost a fearless, bold and vibrant journalist and a great human being, said Alok Kala, Editor & Publisher, Diamond World.

He was also Asst. editor at Vyapar news paper and chief reporter with Financial Express.
