Forbes Billionaires List includes leading Israeli diamond dealers

Beny Steinmetz , Lev Leviev and Dan Gertler feature in the list

The 2016 edition of the Forbes Billionaires List has names of diamond dealers from Israel. The dealers Beny Steinmetz and Lev Leviev occupy the 1694 position in the list in a tie, as per reports. Steinmetz, with a net worth of US$1 billion had been ranked at 497 in the said list last year. Leviev with a net worth of US$1 billion took the 1,533 spot last year.

There is also Dan Gertler, whose grandfather was the first president of the Israeli Diamond Exchange, appeared at 1476 rank with a net worth of US$1.2 billion.

Other personalities from the diamond industry featuring in the list include Nicky Oppenheimer at 174th position with a net worth of US$6.6 billion, Laurence Graff at 317th rank with a net worth of US$4.6 billion, and Nirav Modi at 1,067th rank with a net worth of $1.7 billion, as per reports.
