Titan records 18% increase in profits in Q3

Attributes this to the discount and promotions it undertook

In the third quarter, Titan recorded an 18 percent increase in its profits to Rs 225 crore, with a 17 percent jump in revenues to Rs 3426 crore. The company reflected upon the results as a drive into the growth momentum. The company attributed its performance to the discounts it encouraged as a measure to increase sales in December, as per reports. The growth in the jewellery segment over a low base was identified as the major contributor to sales growth in the quarter.

The company is looking at propelling demand with new products, retail expansion and cost control, reports say.
