Lucapa Diamond sells eighth package from Lulo, Angola

Lucapa Diamond Company has announced that it successfully sold the eighth package of diamonds from Lulo project in Angola for A$920,000. The parcel of 817.6 carats of Lulo alluvial diamonds generated gross revenues of A$920,000 or US$654,000, representing an average selling price of A$1,123 per carat or US$800. The sale brings the total sales of Lulo diamonds to 10,194 carats. 

Overall, the eight parcels of Lulo diamonds have generated gross sales proceeds of A$18.8 million, or US$15 million in US$ invoiced sales, for an average overall selling price of A$1,846 per carat, underlining the exceptional quality and value of Lulo gems. 

The company also stated in the press release that the recent recoveries of large specials (diamonds weighing more than 10.8 carats) from Mining Block 8 at Lulo post the latest diamond sale include a 66.36 carat D-colour diamond.
