Israel Diamond Exchange elected Yoram Dvash as its new president in the biennial election in which he defeated Arnon Yuval, currently holding the position of Deputy President. Following the election outcome, outgoing president Shmuel Schnitzer congratulated Dvash upon his election as the bourse's new leader and wished him and his new board Godspeed and best of luck in taking the IDE successfully forward.

Earlier, in the elections held in 2013, Dvash was elected Honorary Secretary of the IDE, Chairperson of the IDE’s industry committee and Marketing Committee, and Observer on behalf of manufacturers at the IDE. During his tenure as Chairperson of the IDE’s industry committee, Dvash was essential in pushing forward the Modern Manufacturing Centre in Ramat Gan. He also initiated the "10+ -carat development section" in the technological service area in the bourse trading hall, to assure that these stones will be manufactured in Israel and not elsewhere.

With this election for the President, the IDE electorate also voted for 16 new members of the Directorate, nine new members of the Control Committee and new representatives of the tenants in the directorate of the Diamond Exchange Enterprises.
