DDC’s Brendan Bell joins Board of Directors

In a major announcement, the Dominion Diamond Corporation’s CEO has been made a member of the board of directors, taking its number to eight. However, A Gannicott will continue as Chairman, while Daniel Jarvis will be looking after as lead director. 

As Gannicott says about the elevation of, "Brendan has well demonstrated his ability to lead and inspire the Dominion management team, especially through the difficult circumstances of my abruptly having to leave the chief executive role. In doing so he has earned the trust and respect of board members as well as shareholders and other stakeholders. His northern knowledge and experience are great assets to bring to board deliberations." 

Brendan Bell, who had earlier served for eight years in the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly –  including terms as Minister Responsible for Energy and Mines, Minister Responsible for the Environment and Minister of Justice and Attorney General for the Government of the Northwest Territories – joined DDC in July 2013. He was first given the responsibility for External Affairs and Human Resources.
