Central Industrial Security Force return jewellery worth Rs.4 lakh worth to owner

One got lucky this festive season, in a lost and found case of Rs.4 lakh worth of jewellery. A person who left a bag containing the said jewellery mistakenly left it at Delhi’s Chandni Chowk Metro Station. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) returned the same to the person, reports say.

The event unfolded when an official from CISF noticed this unclaimed bag at the X-ray scanning machine located at the station and then segregated it for a second scanning. The scanning revealed it contained jewellery worth about Rs.4 lakh, as per reports. The bag belonged to a Delhi-based jeweller, identified as V. Khandelwal, who returned to the spot searching for his lost bag. He mentioned having got engrossed on a phone call and forgot to collect the bag after placing it fopr scanning at the X-ray machine, reports say.
