A new ‘statement diamond’ has been unveiled by Graff Diamonds, reports say. The diamond is a 132.55-carat Fancy Intense cushion-cut yellow diamond, named as “The Golden Empress,” and is mounted on a necklace accompanied with around 30 other yellow diamonds, reports say.

The Golden Empress is a diamond featuring in the category of the largest and rarest in the world. The diamond was bought by Laurence Graff as a 299-carat rough diamond discovered at the Letšeng mine in Lesotho, as per reports. The rough diamond produced The Golden Empress and eight satellite diamonds, comprising six pear shape Fancy Yellow stones of which the largest is of 21.34 carats, and two brilliant round stones, reports add.
