With over 55 years of experience in precious cargo logistics, BVC Clearance is the first company to have successfully conducted customs clearance through the Indian Customs EDI System in Precious Cargo Customs Clearance Centre (PCCCC) on May 13, 2015. The exported commodity was cut and polished diamonds to New Zealand by Venus Jewels. This is the first time in the PCCCC history wherein the export customs clearance of precious cargo was completed through EDI.

Having worked together since Venus Jewel’s inception, BVC Clearance continues to be the trusted partner for customs clearance.

According to Uday Chinai and Bharat Badani of BVC Clearance, “It’s a momentous day for BVC Clearance as we have achieved a major milestone in the logistics industry for the PCCCC. Our elation has grown multifold since the EDI went through with the support of the Venus Jewels who have always believed in technological advancement and have been pioneers in the IT evolution of the industry. We believe that EDI in precious cargo clearance will further enhance trade and enable transparency in the entire process. BVC’s focus on innovation with support of our esteemed clients will continue to help the industry upgrade in all aspects.”

Rajesh Shah, Partner of Venus Jewels quoted “This has been a great achievement for the entire Diamond and Jewellery Industry. It is set to overhaul all redundant processes. Our long standing relationship with BVC which has spanned across generations has been fruitful to say the least. It’s a moment of pride for us at Venus Jewels for having been the first organisation that could participate in the EDI process."
