Not just Prayers! Nepal needs financial help... Will gems and jewellery community come forward?

diamond world news service

When our Mother Earth shows rage, we humans have to come together and stand united against the destruction. As most of us are aware, our neighbour Nepal has undergone a severe destructive phase due to the consecutive earthquakes.

Us Indians, being not just neighbours but benevolent humans have to show immense support in these difficult times. Our industry of gems and jewels is looked upon as a wealthy industry and though that may not always be true due to the testing times, we have also been looked upon as a very supportive and helpful community.

The time has come again when we as a community can help and assist the people in need. As a trade media, we request each and every jeweller and jewellery association to help GJF meet the Rs. 2 crore target for Nepal earthquake victims. The cheques favouring Prime Minister's National Relief Fund are the need of hour to stand united as a community and help the victims.

Kindly send your cheques to GJF Registered Chairman or GJF office. We urge you to donate generously and quickly. These donations will also receive the 80G tax benefits.

Let the gem and jewellery community set an example.#prayforNepal #donateforNepal
