Indian Luxury brands to set up presence in American and European markets

diamond world news service

Some Indian luxury companies, including some from the diamond jewellery sector are looking to set up boutiques in American and European markets and signing marketing and distribution deals in the said regions, reports say. Apart from jewellery, other luxury players include exclusive hand-knotted carpets, designer wear, hotels and luxury trunks.

The companies intend to create their own brand identity in the international market, with investments in brand communication and marketing, rather than being distributed through other brands in the overseas markets, reports say.

Most of the companies in this endeavor are not necessarily the big established players, but those with a prospective demand for their products in the international markets, reports add. Amongst them is jeweler Nirav Modi, who intends to set up exclusive boutiques in New York and Hong Kong this year, in line with other international luxury brands.
