NRF to set up new industry research department

Leading research and analysis company - The National Retail Federation in the United States intends to set up a new department dedicated to industry research. Reports say. It plans to set up this Retail Research and Analysis Center with an investment worth millions of dollars.

The Centre will address all existing research within NRF and expand upon the wide range of issue areas and trends already studied, while focusing on economy, legislative and regulatory policy, the retail industry and consumers,’ as per the company, reports say.

Also, the expansion, as per the company, would give its members ‘additional tools and insight as they operate in a very dynamic marketplace. And, our advocates will have the facts they need to advance retail’s policy agenda.’

Ellen Davis, executive director of the NRF Foundation, will also serve as NRF’s senior vice president of research and strategic initiatives. Also, the firm is scouting for a vice president of research development and industry analysis, who would report to Davis.
