Titan plans to launch utility watches

Titan, an arm of the Tata Group, plans to introduce smart-watches or what it terms as utility watches, reports say. For this, it is seeking a technology partner, which could be either domestic or international.

The company is reportedly inspired by the launch of the Apple watch. It intends to launch a smart (utility) watch in a year. Besides watches, Titan also has a portfolio of jewellery, eyecare/precision.
