diamond world news service

Sarine Technologies Ltd. has completed a cooperation endeavour with HRD Antwerp, to facilitate interoperability between Sarine's AdvisorTM 5.2 diamond planning software and HRD Antwerp's EOS Fancy bruting and girdling (i.e., shaping) systems. Sarine's AdvisorTM 5.2 software upgrade allows the AdvisorTM planning software's output to be automatically integrated with and utilised by HRD Antwerp's EOS Fancy systems without manual intervention. Advisor'sTM superior analysis and planning functions, integrated with EOS Fancy's automated bruting and girdling system through automated and seamless interoperability, reduces human error and expedites the manufacturing process.

This combined solution and inter-linking of technologies has worked well with hundreds of stones being processed.

WTOCD (Wetenschappelijk en Technisch OnderzoeksCentrum voor Diamant; in English - the Scientific and Technical Research center for Diamonds, also a subsidiary of AWDC) developed the EOS and EOS Fancy systems - automatic machines for the bruting and girdling diamonds of all round and fancy shapes.

WTOCD’s systems provide an accurately controlled vibration-free cutting process, assuring high productivity and superb girdle symmetry and quality along with easy user functionality and ergonomics. The EOS and EOS Fancy are exclusively commercialised by HRD Antwerp. Sarine's AdvisorTM 5.2 is the preferred rough diamond planning software worldwide. It offers multiple optimal planning solutions by integrating internal inclusion data from Sarine's GalaxyTM and SolarisTM inclusion mapping systems with the diamond's external highly accurate 3D geometrical measurements, thus fully considering the potential value of multiple polished stones solutions.

“A perfect girdle is the very foundation of a well cut stone. In today's challenging market, the quality requirements for both round as well as fancy cuts are increasingly becoming more demanding. The EOS Fancy bruting machine has been developed by HRD Antwerp and WTOCD to deliver superb girdle quality, over and over again” explains Marc Thomassen, Chief Officer Equipment at HRD Antwerp. “The AdvisorTM - EOS interoperability is a fantastic accomplishment which now enables our customers to gain competitive advantage by combining the power of state-of-the-art diamond planning software with the industry’s leading bruting system” Mr. Thomassen continued. "In addition to the industry-leading solutions Sarine offers all segments of diamond manufacturing and trade, we continually seek to integrate our technologies with other popular platforms and systems, in order to maximize the benefits afforded to our customers. Thus, we are pleased that Sarine and HRD Antwerp can now offer the AdvisorTM – EOS Fancy integrative solution and are confident that our customers will enjoy the benefits of our joint endeavor” stated Uzi Levami, Chief Executive Officer of Sarine.
