Niru Diamonds awarded Outstanding Exporter of Israel’s diamond industry

Receives the award at the hands of Israel's President and Minister of the Economy

Niru Diamonds Israel was awarded the honour of The Outstanding Exporter of the Israeli diamond industry in 2013, reports say. The award was presented at the President’s house at the hands of President Reuven (Ruvi) Rivlin and Minister of the Economy Naftali Bennet.

NIRU President, Rakesh Barmecha, expressed gratitude for being part of the Niru Group and towards his parents for nurturing this family culture amongst each member. He added, "Today at the Israeli President's residence in Jerusalem was a memorable milestone for NIRU. NIRU is in the business of spreading happiness and today it's an honor for each member of NIRU to be recognized. We salute the State of Israel for giving us the opportunity to be part of this community and enabling NIRU to spread happiness."

The occasion was where prizes were awarded to exporters in different categories: advanced technology industries, traditional industries and the diamond industry. The award ceremony hosted an audience of senior officials from the Foreign Trade Administration at the Ministry of Economy, representatives of major economic organizations and exporters.
