Gemological Science International (GSI) opened its 9th lab in Gaborone, Botswana, on December 26, 2014.

“After decades of just mining rough diamonds, Botswana's capital Gaborone now cuts, polishes and sells the diamond which creates a demand for gemological laboratories and education” according to Mark Gershburg, CEO, GSI.

GSI has become a global powerhouse with offices strategically positioned to serve major markets worldwide. GSI opened another lab in Surat last month.

“GSI brings to Gaborone the same high level of diamond grading, consistency and customer service we have in all GSI laboratories worldwide.” added Gershburg

This apart, GSI Gaborone intends to establish educational programs, courses and seminars.
