ALROSA inks rough supply pact with Indian diamond traders

This pact is good news for the Indian diamantaires as it paves the way for the Indian diamond industry to get stones directly from Russia.

Day 1 of WDC India 2014 has certainly got more than expected for the Indian diamantaires as multi-million dollar contracts were signed by ALROSA.

The contract worth $2.1 billion has been signed with 12 Indian diamond traders. The contract assures the supply of roughs worth $700 million per year for the period of three years. The Indian diamond trading companies with whom the contract has been signed include: Rosy Blue, Diamond India Ltd, Hari Krishna Exports, Asian Star Group, KGK Diamonds, Jasani Group, Kiran Gems, Shri Ramkrishna Exports, Dimexon Diamonds, Venus Jewel, Karp Group and Sheetal Group.
