Dharmanandan Diamonds undertakes to clean Rishikesh

The company’s managing team, its 450 employees and the families and relatives participate in the drive

Dharmanandan Diamonds, a leading Indian diamond company and DTC Sightholder, undertook a social initiative involving its managing team, its 450 employees and the families and relatives of the employees who travelled from Surat, reports say. The collaborative effort unfolded at Rishikesh, to clean the Ganga ghats, to participate in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan motto of India’s newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The company undertook to display banners and placards at Rishikesh, to instil awareness on the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign and to inspire locals and tourists about keeping the holy place clean.

The team cleaned the stretch from Ramjhula to Vanaprastha ashram, which the team undertook, using broomsticks and dustbins. The company is also considering a similar initiative in Surat, reports add.
