Petra Diamonds sells 232 carat white diamond for $15 million

Petra Diamonds has reportedly sold a 232.08 carat white diamond for $15,219,219 million ($65,577 per carat). The white diamond was recovered at the Cullinan mine in South Africa last month, reports say.

The stone was bought by Diacore which has manufacturing facilities in Botswana, South Africa, Namibia and New York and manufactures exceptional diamonds and high-end jewelry. The firm crafted the 203.04-carat De Beers Millennium Star and the Pink Star – a 59.60-carat flawless fancy vivid pink diamond, adds report.
