You’ve got competition
It’s great to know that people are spending their hard –earned money on jewellery. But know that as travel restrictions are easing out, people will spend a great deal of their money on travelling and experiences.

As per the findings of Bain & Company, published in its first volume of the 2021 Retail Holiday Newsletter in September this year, the total US holiday retail spending could hit $800 billion during November and December of this year, a 7% sales growth rate, fuelled by store sales and continued e-commerce growth. This is in spite of disruptions caused by the COVID pandemic, and other ongoing issues, such as inflation, supply chain disruptions, labour constraints and chip shortage. Bain & Company believes that the 2021 holiday season could see the second-highest growth rate for the retail industry in more than 20 years.

Despite the favourable outlook, retailers will face challenges caused by supply chain disruptions and labour constraints. As the pandemic recovery progresses, potential shifts in consumer spending towards non-retail categories, such as travel, restaurants and services, could also hinder retail spending.

Overall, all categories included in the firm's analysis are expected to see increases in sales, with the magnitude of growth varying by sector.
