When the going gets tough..
What a week it has been! On the one end, one of the largest diamond bourses, Bharat Diamond Bourse, where 90 per cent of the diamonds in the world get cut and polished had buyers from across the world to participate in Bharat Diamond Week. Buyers were happy to make connections and network, something they are unable to do in large jewellery shows, where the focus has been more on jewellery.

On the other end, GJEPC hosted the India Diamond Week, where 87 select buyers from different countries were privy to the offerings exhibited by 19 diamantaires.

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going, this is specifically true in our industry, as trade bodies and associations are pulling all stops to give the industry a respite from this enduring crisis. In other news, GJEPC has also slashed down its prices for IIJS Premiere and Signature in 2020.

The announcement also came shortly after GJC announced that it is going to launch a new show in June 2020, which will host 1000 domestic jewellers and retailers. How much is too much? Seems like in our industry, there is no such a thing as too many shows.
