Tide Over
These past few weeks have been particularly trying for diamond business owners across India. As showrooms were allowed to open in some parts of India, and the nearly 60-day lockdown was being gradually lifted.

News about Coronavirus cases being on the rise made each one doubt if lifting the lockdown was the right decision. Revival of the economy, however has taken precedence over fear. Amidst all this uncertainty.

We heard about the demise of leading diamantaire Arunkumar Ramniklal Mehta -- who founded the B. Arunkumar & Co. six decades ago. He was 80 and is survived by a son Russell Mehta, Managing Director of Rosy Blue Group, and a daughter, besides two brothers, Dilip Mehta and Harshad Mehta. Our heartfelt condolences to the family and associates. While the industry has to regain its composure, amidst fear, sorrow and uncertainty. In the coming months the industry will have to work towards bettering its prospects.
