The Future will be Bright
Diamond industry is once again reeling under some trying times. World over, the pandemic is prevailing in different stages, thereby creating an unexpected unevenness in trading. Yet the industry is resilient as ever. Artificial intelligence and state-of-the-art digital interfaces are being used by diamantaires.

These are indeed unprecedented times, which are calling for some unprecedented measures. Diamond export has taken a 20 per cent hit, yet work is on with pandemic- induced norms in factories based in Surat and Mumbai. Workers in these factories are putting in their best effort. Company owners too are looking after their craftsmen well. Diamantaires in rest of the world like the USA, Europe, Dubai, Hong Kong et al are booking profits.

The American stimulus is keeping many diamond businesses afloat. In all, business is lukewarm and still holds the promise of doing well in the days to come.
