Platinum as a Value Generator in Driving Sustainable Business for Brands Amid Disruptions
The industry has warmed up to events and the upcoming week will witness the jewellery industry’s leading annual trade event JCK Las Vegas 2022 uniting over 30,000 of the world’s most influential industry professionals. The city of Las Vegas will also host Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show, one of the largest event catering to the antique and estate jewellery and watch industry featuring world-renowned antique, vintage and estate jewellers. Meanwhile innumerable workers from Surat’s diamond cutting and polishing trade have been asked to go on leave as supplies from Alrosa have been stopped due to the conflict. US has seen a great gush in demand which has led to renewed efforts encouraging India’s already established exports of polished lab-grown diamonds to USA, Hong Kong, UAE, Israel, and Belgium. In a recent interview Natural Diamond Council’s CEO, David Kellie has said that India’s 2022 diamond sales will top 2019 numbers. The Council’s head also informed that last year the personal luxury market experienced a decade-high growth of 35% and diamond jewellery markets by 29% on a global scale. Platinum’s differentiating qualities and potential for higher margins make it central to jewellery branding strategies.
