Let the cheer continue
And what a week it has been. In what was one of the biggest and most expected General Elections this country has seen in the recent times, looks like people got what they want. The mood in the country is upbeat and here in Bharat Diamond Bourse people were celebrating, thumping their chests because of the victory they all wanted.

The Indian markets also saw an all time high, with investors seeing their wealth rising by Rs. 6 lakh crore as on Friday (May 24th). BJP’s sweeping win has pushed the Indian equities to a high that they haven’t witnessed over the last 7 months.

What would be interesting though is to see whether the cheer will continue and what this victory means for our industry. Will the jewellers and diamantaires be freed from the niggling policy problems? Will the economy take a turn? Will there be more jobs available in the market? We’ll have to wait and watch but meanwhile let’s hope that the cheer continues.
