Jewellery the best performer of luxury!
According to a recent trade prediction by Bain & Company sales of personal luxury goods are likely to fall 23 per cent this year, the first decrease since 2009, and are unlikely to recover for at least two years.

This would be the steepest annual decline Bain has recorded, according to the consultancy company, which released the study in collaboration with Italian luxury-brand committee Altagamma.

Jewelry was one of the best performers as compared to the other sectors in the luxury category. The sector was also buoyed by a rise in online sales. However, sales are still expected to fall 15% to EUR 18 billion ($21.29 billion) for the year. The G & J sector is showing definite signs of recovery and that will surely have a positive effect on the economy as a whole.
